Hoi An’s Ancient Houses
Hoi An used to be a prosperous trading port in the 16th century where there were a number of Chinese, Japanese, Spanish traders came for merchant purpose, settled down and became an ethnic people group among 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Standing in the old town are ancient house with moss-grow roof, pavements which bear the up and down of time. Ancient houses are believed to contribute significantly to the “living monument” of Hoi An.

According to statistics, there are 1,068 houses but during visiting tourists often choose one of four following houses.
